Introduction:

This has been an interesting 2 weeks.  I am on the complex computer, and am looking forward to having a laptop, that works with full function and having "Wifi" in my house, so that I can work from home.  I know and feel that this will help me in great degree to be a better and more efficient student, in all of my classes.

My team members, some very markedly affected by the "Dateline, Inside Serbia's Mental Institutions", seemed surprised that we here in the U.S. were institutionalizing individuals within my lifetime (yes, I know, not by much).  But the point is, that we are not that far away from what we saw there.  I know myself, when my son was in developmental pre-school and they had a special "restraining chair" and barricaded him into the classroom, I did not believe that LRE (Least Restrictive Environment) was being established or practiced.  It was actually a catalyst, as I then began looking into and seeing what LRE meant and how it was appropriately practiced or carried out; what were our rights and how do we defend them (we got a service coordinator), what is the normal practices within SPED?  The pre-school, when challenged or questioned on this, said "the teacher was having a rough time personally" and to not take it too seriously.  I did get that resolved and we ended up moving into town and a different school district anyway (ironically though, my boss, when I entered the field, worked at that developmental pre-school.  Life has a lot of interesting irony's).

Anyway, to not be long winded, I guess the above was an example of "writing a letter" from Dr. Mike Evans "Controlling Stress", which by the way, I have REALLY NEEDED.  There is so much to enjoy: Pres. Eyring quoting Eld. Bednar as president of this university and seeing both their insights on the reasons and potential of this institution-thinking seriously of my part and living up to that legacy.
